Are You Settling for Less in Your Relationship?

by Christian Pankhurst

Should you stay or walk away?

Have you ever stayed in a relationship with someone who couldn’t meet you in your needs and desires, but yet you still found it hard to walk away?

Sometimes people suffer from what I call “one-itis” – when we think there is only one other person in the entire world who can feel us, fulfill us and give us what we want. But the truth is that the more integrated, open and present YOU become in yourself, the more amazing a connection you will experience with more than just one other person. “One-itis” is what happens when we project all of our needs onto one other person, or when we respond from our conditioning because we’re too scared, and thus end up just playing it safe instead of following our deepest heart’s longing.

In the video below you’ll see an honest woman share about her ‘open relationship,’ and how her heart yearns for greater commitment from her lover. I also share a funny story about what happens when a man becomes more and more open to life. :)

Have you been settling for less in your life? What “a-ha” are you taking away?
